Grant Thornton is one of the world’s leading organizations of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms. Grant Thornton East Caribbean is currently seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Information Technology Manager.

The Role:
A versatile professional with a vast knowledge of IT service management, and a dedicated commitment to providing first-class service in a multifaceted organisation. The ideal candidate will primary be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Firm’s information technology infrastructure and any network related issues across our offices located in Antigua, Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Vincent. The position can be based in either our Antigua or Barbados office.

The IT Manager’s role will include but will not be limited to, managing the internal network of the Firm, providing technical assistance to Grant Thornton East Caribbean staff, diagnosing and troubleshooting, research, documenting and resolving technical issues surrounding Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, MS Office and Microsoft 365, Internet connections and hardware/peripherals, familiarity with IT General Controls, proficient in information security audits, IT and IS policy creation and implementation, and web page development.

Essential Skills and Experience
Candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft operating systems – MS Windows 10/11/2019/2022; TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and associated services; have knowledge of MS Active Directory and Azure Active Directory; understanding of PC hardware (repair/assembly); desktop software (MS Outlook, MS Office etc.); be able to conduct risk assessments for information assets; Security Review experience; familiarity with VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V; and, familiarity with VEEAM Backup and Replication.

The successful candidate should possess exceptional troubleshooting and network management skills, demonstrate initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to work in a team environment and independently, and the ability to manage a team. Strong organizational/time management skills, excellent communication and writing skills, strong integrity and work ethic, and must be willing to travel.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar qualification
  • Ability to service a multi-network organisation
  • Certified Information System Auditor - CISA Certification an asset
  • Ability to develop IT policies and security checklists
  • 7 to 10 years working experience in IT management or a similar role
  • Keeps current with advancing information technology and trends
  • An ability to adapt to various work environments and personnel
